Transport

In the early eighties, Kurstjens started its own transport department. Commissioned by various water departments, communal sewage sludge has been transported to end processors for many years.

Just like excavation work, transport is no longer a core activity, but rather an important supporting activity within the company. Indeed not only for dredging but also sludge dewatering and soil remediation it is important to organise the storage and discharge of substreams as efficiently as possible. This can obviously proceed most efficiently when transport is taken care of in-house.

The supply and removal of the systems is largely performed in-house. Kurstjens is still capable of taking on transport projects commissioned by third parties. To that end Kurstjens has about 40 impervious skips at its disposal. These include tarpaulins and multiple container combinations.
