Extractive soil remediation

Kurstjens exploits mobile soil remediation systems which can be used (on-site) for the extractive cleaning of contaminated soil, dredging spoil, sewage sludge, ground swirl and ground sludge (RKG), sweeping sand, sieve sand and other sand-sludge mixtures. All systems can be operational within two weeks and are therefore truly mobile!

The functioning of the systems is based on the physical properties of the material to be cleaned and its contaminants. The combined use of sieves, a logwasher, hydrocyclones, spiral separators, upstream column,  magnetic separator and wood and organic dust separators allows most contaminants to be removed from sand and debris fraction.

Kurstjens has a partnership with Recycling Barneveld (Vink). In a hall furnished and licenced for this purpose located at Hanzeweg 7 in Barneveld, Vink and Kurstjens take in extractive cleanable soil. When there is sufficient soil in storage, one of the mobile systems is placed in the hall. Kurstjens has a similar type of partnership with Aclagro NV, located at Industrieweg 74 in Wondelgem (Belgium).

The systems have a capacity of 30 to 60 tonnes per hour dependent on the characteristics of the material to be treated. The systems ensure that there is an optimal separation of the contaminated material into the two fractions reusable sand/debris and contaminated sludge cake.

Kurstjens is certified according to SIKB BRL 7500, protocol 7510 and has been recognised by Agentschap.nl for the ex-situ and on-site extractive cleaning of soil, dredge spoil and other sand/sludge mixtures.
